Natural Casing Beef Bratwurst
About Our Beef Cattle, Health, Care
Three flavors: Bacon Cheddar, Jalapeno Jack, Mango Habanero.
Place your sausages in a large pot and cover with liquid. The pot should not be more than 3/4 filled. We recommend using water to cook in, but you can use beer as well. Beer works best for flavors like Bacon and Cheddar or Jalapeno Jack. You can also add butter, onions and garlic for extra flavor if desired.
Bring the liquid and brats to a boil and then reduce heat to a simmer. Let simmer for 10 minutes. You can boil and simmer the liquid and brats either inside on a stovetop or outside over a grill.
We will now brown the sausages. First remove them from the liquid and dry. Cook over medium heat on a grill, under a broiler or in a frying pan. Cook for 3-4 minutes per side until the casing is browned. Do not use excessive heat to avoid having the casing crack open.
Once brats are browned, they are ready to eat. Remove from grill, let cool, and serve with your favorite fixings. Enjoy!
